Find the right work polo

A polo shirt sits between a casual T-shirt and a formal shirt, making it a useful everyday uniform. Start with the fabric, fit and working environment. A textured piqué polo has a different surface from a smooth performance style, and that affects how a small embroidered design sits on the garment.

Check sleeve length, collar style, available sizes and the manufacturer’s care instructions. If the team includes different fits, build the order around suitable options rather than one unisex size chart. Match the garment colour to your brand, but also consider the contrast needed to make the logo readable.

Make the chest logo readable

The left chest is a familiar position for a company logo. The right chest can hold a staff name or role if there is suitable space. The finished logo needs to work at the size it will be worn: very fine outlines and tiny taglines may need simplifying or enlarging.

Send the original artwork if you have it, along with brand colour references and the desired position. We discuss thread colours and practical detail before arranging the stitch file. An image that looks sharp on a screen is a starting point, not a ready-to-stitch embroidery file.

Useful polo choices from the catalogue

The PRO RTX RX101 Pro Piqué Polo Shirt is one of the styles featured in our existing workwear selection. It provides a starting point for a uniform enquiry; browse its current colours, sizes and plain garment information, then ask for your embroidery quotation. Uneek and the wider clothing catalogue offer further choices.

For an order covering several staff members, list every size and colour separately. If you already use a particular polo, send the product code so we can check continuity. A change of brand can affect sleeve length, body shape and the shade of navy or black even when the description sounds similar.

Pricing and repeat orders

The finished price depends on the polo, quantity, stitch count, logo size and number of embroidered positions. The standard one-time digitising fee is £25 + VAT; setup is included where your chosen workwear bundle expressly states it. Individual staff names and extra logos should be included in the brief.

The same unchanged digitised logo can be reused for repeat orders without the original digitising fee. A substantially different size or changed artwork may need further preparation. Keep your agreed garment code and branding details with your uniform list to make future top-ups easier.

Your questions, answered

Can you embroider names on polo shirts?

Yes. Send the exact name for each garment and connect it to the correct size and colour. The extra position and lettering are included in your quote.

Will very small logo text work?

Small lettering has practical limits in thread, especially on textured fabric. Send the artwork for assessment; we may suggest a larger logo, simpler text or a printed alternative.

Can I reorder the same logo later?

The unchanged digitised logo can be reused. Send the previous garment and order details so we can check stock, colour and branding consistency.

Where can I order embroidered polo shirts near me?

Choose a suitable polo from our catalogue and send your logo and size breakdown to Sandycroft Workwear. We quote the garments and embroidery together. Collection is available by arrangement from our Sandycroft unit in Flintshire, serving local teams around Deeside and Chester.
