An image and a stitch file are different
A PNG, JPEG, PDF or vector logo shows the design, but embroidery needs instructions for how to build it in stitches. Digitising determines stitch direction, sequence, density and thread changes for the intended logo size and fabric.
That preparation is more than changing a file extension. A textured polo and a fleece can need different treatment, while a small cap logo has a different available area from a jacket back. Send the original artwork as the starting point and explain the clothing you want it applied to.

Prepare the artwork that matters
A vector PDF, SVG, EPS or AI file is useful where available. A clear high-resolution PNG or JPG can also be supplied for assessment. Include the exact company name, any essential wording and the brand colour references you normally use.
If the design contains very small text, thin outlines or gradients, we may need to discuss simplifying or enlarging parts of it. Embroidery cannot reproduce a photograph in the same way as printing. Keep the main identity recognisable and agree a practical version at the size it will be worn.

Agree size, colours and position together
A logo that works on a smooth top may need adjustment for a textured fabric. Chest, sleeve, back and headwear positions also have different restrictions. Seams, pockets, linings and access influence what can be embroidered.
Give an approximate size and position rather than relying on a mock-up alone. Send thread colour preferences or brand references, understanding that available thread shades are physical colours. We discuss a practical match and contrast for the garment, with final details confirmed before production.

Digitising costs and later reorders
Our standard one-time embroidery digitising fee is £25 + VAT. Setup is free where your selected workwear bundle expressly includes logo setup. The applicable preparation and decoration costs are confirmed in the quote, alongside garments and any extra names or positions.
The same unchanged digitised logo can be reused for repeat orders without charging the original digitising fee again. Artwork changes or a substantially different finished size may need further preparation. Retain the approved logo version, dimensions and garment details so future enquiries refer to the right specification.
