Caps and beanies need different layouts
A cap has a shaped crown, panels and seams; a beanie has a knitted surface and often a turned cuff. Those differences affect where the logo can go and how much detail will be useful. A design prepared for a large polo chest does not automatically suit a smaller headwear position.
Start with the exact style, adjustment or size range and garment colour. The full clothing catalogue includes headwear choices. Tell us if the item is intended for staff uniforms, outdoor teams, club merchandise or an event so we can help assess the practical options.

Keep the embroidery compact and readable
Clear symbols and a short company or club name can be more effective than a full contact block. Small lettering, narrow gaps and fine lines can disappear when a design is reduced. Consider a simplified headwear version of a complex logo, subject to your brand approval.
Send the original artwork, the desired position and approximate dimensions. We assess the cap construction or beanie texture with the design. Centre seams, curved panels, cuff depth and embroidery access can restrict the placement, so final dimensions are confirmed for the chosen style.

Coordinate headwear with the uniform
A cap or beanie can extend the same identity used on polos, fleeces and jackets. Select thread colours that contrast with the headwear rather than relying only on a match to the original paper logo. A reversed or simplified colour version may be worth discussing.
For a mixed order, keep caps and beanies on separate garment lines with their quantities and colours. Include any individual names or other positions rather than assuming these fit within the main logo price. If the team uses protective headwear, select that independently according to workplace requirements.

What to confirm before production
Ask us to assess the garment and design together before buying your own headwear. Suitability and access can vary considerably between styles. Your quotation confirms the chosen item, artwork preparation, decoration and timing.
Care instructions are especially relevant for structured caps and knitted accessories. Follow the manufacturer’s label and any supplied embroidery guidance rather than using the same washing routine as a work polo. Keep the agreed style and logo version on your uniform list for consistent replacements.

Your questions, answered
Can a detailed polo logo be used on a cap?
It may need adapting for the smaller, shaped embroidery area. We assess lettering, seams and the intended size before confirming the layout.
Can you embroider supplied headwear?
Contact us before buying or bringing it in. The style, fabric and embroidery access need checking first.
Are all caps one size?
Check the exact product’s size and adjustment information. Do not assume that every cap or beanie uses the same fit.
