Start with the required garment
Hi-vis is selected for the work being carried out, not simply for its fluorescent colour. Tell us what your employer, site or risk assessment requires, including the specified garment or protection level. Use the product documentation to check the exact style before buying.
Our Beeswift and wider workwear catalogues provide safety clothing options. An ordinary branded T-shirt or hoodie should not be treated as protective clothing merely because it is brightly coloured. The safety characteristics belong to the exact garment and specification, so retain that information with your uniform order.

Logo placement needs checking
Printing adds a visible company identity, but the size and location must be assessed against the garment design and its requirements. Reflective bands, fluorescent areas, seams, pockets and coatings can restrict where decoration is appropriate.
Send a photograph or product code together with the proposed logo positions. Large back lettering may help people identify the team, but it is not automatically suitable on every vest or jacket. We assess the proposed decoration before recommending a finish; branding does not itself certify a garment or establish that it meets a site’s rules.

Think about the whole uniform
A site team may need several types of hi-vis clothing across the year, alongside polos, trousers and warm layers. Keep colours and company identity coordinated, but assess the protective garments individually. A seasonal change of outer layer can change what branding is visible.
Include role names or department lettering if useful, with exact spellings. A simple, readable company name may work better than squeezing a full contact block into a small area. The branding brief should specify what needs to be seen and where, rather than relying on the largest possible print.

Order and care for personalised hi-vis
Provide the garment codes, quantities, sizes, logo and required date. We confirm availability, suitable decoration and price before production. If supplying your own clothing, contact us first so the fabric, construction and garment requirements can be assessed.
Follow the manufacturer’s care label and any decoration guidance. Visibility, condition and suitability need checking during use. Replacing a damaged or unsuitable item is a separate decision from replacing a faded logo. Ask the person responsible for workplace clothing requirements when deciding what the team needs.

Your questions, answered
Can any hi-vis vest be printed?
No blanket assumption applies. Fabric, reflective bands, fluorescent areas, coatings and garment requirements can restrict decoration. Send the exact product details for assessment.
Does adding my logo certify the garment?
No. Branding does not certify protective clothing or confirm suitability for a particular site. Check the exact garment documentation and workplace requirements.
Can you add a company name on the back?
Ask us to assess the proposed wording, size and position against the selected garment. We confirm what is suitable before quoting the decoration.
Can I arrange hi-vis vest printing locally?
Send the exact hi-vis garment code and the proposed logo size and position to our Sandycroft team. We assess the specification and decoration requirements before confirming suitability and price. Once completed, your order can be collected from our Flintshire unit or sent by agreed UK delivery.
